Worker Roundtable to Highlight Working Family Voters Top Priorities

Issues include good jobs, retirement security, minimum wage, and access to quality healthcare

On Wednesday, October 18, Pennsylvania workers will come together to discuss which issues are most important in this midterm election.  Economic issues will be the primary topic for the roundtable discussion.  In an election where economic issues are top priority for Pennsylvania families, the roundtable provides an opportunity for workers to highlight what’s at stake for working families.

Discussion topics will include the importance of increasing the federal minimum wage, passing trade agreements that benefit American workers, retirement security, and access to quality healthcare for Pennsylvania workers.  Workers will be joined by President William George and Secretary Treasurer Richard Bloomingdale of the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO and will highlight Election Day priorities for Pennsylvania working families.

The roundtable discussion is an opportunity for workers to come together to emphasize the importance of elected officials in fighting for working family issues.

The Pennsylvania AFL-CIO fights for working family issues every day and is sponsoring the worker roundtable.  The Pennsylvania AFL-CIO is actively involved in this year’s election including its program of union member to member outreach and education on the issues at stake in the November election.
